What's with the lyrics to In The Dark?

No, I doubt Lacey is still suicidal.
She might have been talking about when she was suicidal.
Or it could have a totally different meaning. Lacey, Sameer, Jared, James, and Pat are very lyrically talented. Maybe just write down the lyrics if you can, look at them thouroughly, and figure out something. It might also be something from the bible.

highly doubt shes suicidal anymore. but if you think about it the title Memento Mori means something like "remember you will die" so when she says "Jesus kill me" it does kind of tie in with the album name. im not sure that thats what it means but you know...

It seems to me like a cry to Jesus for him to kill her inside of her darkness and to raise her back to purity/holiness.

......just a thought....since I haven't read the complete lyrics...
In the start of the song I think she is talking about the changes that have happened to her, and now she sees the world in a whole new light(artificial/fake). Then, like most who believe in Christ she is expressing how she would prefer to be in heaven then here in a world of sin, where she to is capable of sin or darkness.

I think its kinda metaphorical. As in, kill the sin in me type of thing. See also "I Wanna Kill You Over and Over Again" By Grave Robber.

Honaestly I think it means she wants what is in side of her to be killed like her sin and such things as that, because it says raise me up to live again so she whats new life such as salvaition which is when you truely begain to live. but she is not suicidal.

I think the song is about like when we were young we were afraid of loud noises and stuff but now when we are older it is the silence that scares us because in the silence we are left only with ourselves and we are monsters. There is nothing good about us and that she wants that to die

Well, when you get saved, the old person that you 'were' dies, and you are Born Again kind of like the song that Lacey sings with Third Day. When you get saved, Jesus comes in, and the old person in you, for vivid imagery's sake, dies. You are then born again, in the Spirit of God. You can see this in John 3, as Jesus explains being born again to Nicodemus, the Pharisee, who, obviously, wasn't getting it. lol.

Matthew 16:24-25
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”

I thought this explained it pretty well.
