Intro comment 3/4:
Don't know if anyone's made this request, but I want to throw it out there. I would love to see Flyleaf put out a b-sides album. I think that if songs like Supernatural, Ocean Waves, Broken Wings and Sleepwalker were tweaked and rerecorded, Flyleaf could fill an album with unreleased music. They would just have to add a few cover songs, maybe from David Crowder, or something unusual, like "What I've Done" from Linkin Park. Those are my demands! I'm holding all the neighborhood cats hostage until my demands are met! ...hmmm... actually, I am willing to negotiate. Later, Leaf-lovers.
Added 3/6. Wanted to know if there are Flyleaf fans that would make similar comments to mine:
Momento Mori is my favorite album of all time. I've owned maybe 1000 CDs, but I haven't heard this combination of heavy rock, strong emotion and meaningful message done this well ever before.
I used to love Metallica, Led Zepplin, Pantera and Soundgarden, but their messages just don't speak to my soul. And even though there's some great Christian bands that can take you to Heaven and back, they don't always show the contrast with our world's deep darkness, nor are most this hard-edged.
Also, these lyrics could not be written without spiritual maturity, a philosophical mind, and world experience. They contain a lot of nuance and dual-meanings. I'm a big fan of the music, the heart and the mission of Flyleaf.
